Ce qu’on Laisse apres nous

Atelier Maison, Richelieu, France, 2016

In summer of 2016, pictures of the disappearing towns were first exhibited in Richeliue, France, two hour train ride from Paris. Show was arranged by Peter Tugiuri, a professor at RISD, who has over the years given me a positive encouragement and arranged all the logistics to have my first show in France.

“Photographer Ki Ho Park documents the old neighborhoods of his native city, Seoul, as they fall to the pressure of development in this ever growing city. His work captures the hasty departure, reveals the layering of lives, makes comment on how much of ourselves we leave behind in making a modern world. His images are printed (ghosted) on to translucent rice paper.”
