Everything Must Go
2008-11
Everything Must Go, a documentation of various storefronts in America during the great recession from 2007-2011. During this period, precipitated by the subprime mortgage crisis, many companies, big and small, declared bankruptcy, with store closures and huge layoffs. Over the course of three years, I documented storefronts and office buildings from the East to West Coast, depicting the empty storefronts and the ghosts of past wealth and prosperity.
